The Snowflake People

by Lilly Tagloff   Apr 22, 2009

They only come at a special time of year
But always spread so much cheer
There work is not so hard you see
For all they must do is fall so free

During the spring they disappear
Only to wait for next year
As summer comes their patience wears thin
And all they can do is take a swim

When autumn comes, they get excited
Only to find they must wait to be so delighted
Before they know it, winter is finally here
And once again they show how much they care

As they get ready and check off their list
They prepare to fall gracefully with bliss
To spread a blanket of beautiful white
The snowflake people take their flight
