a new day with the same sad song
another night to make it through

eyes perfect in nature
a heart cold as ice
a game played to its full potential
another girl left to cry

words spoken in confidence
pity given of lust
a soul darkened by hatred
another conscience drained of trust

skin left torn and scarred
a body left in eternal agony
a girl left to piece together her heart
while her mind tries to silence the screams

these are the symptoms of a friendship lost
for only amusement instead
while one gets a long hard laugh
the others left emotionally dead

i hope that one day i can trust again
but that day will not come soon
for he took my heart tore it up
and now continues to salt my wounds
