Love's Story (told in Love's perspective)

by ~*~ColdHope~*~   May 15, 2009

Tortured soul, she never had a chance.
One look into those menacing eyes, and she was gone.
tumbling down a spirally down to a dark paradise.
She wondered once, if she was making the right choose.
But that thought soon faltered with another blow to the chest.
It was strange how these hurts never left a visible mark.
But it didn't matter. his eyes where on her. and thats all she cared about.
Dancing and taunting her with his glances.
Every one sending a cold tingle down her spin.
One day, I'm going to marry him, she thought. And then I wont feel so empty inside.
So they danced and moved to the beat of a fiery tune.
She got burnt many a time. but It didn't matter. Nothing mattered.
His eyes where on her.
Swaying in a crowd. Becoming her closer and closer.
But As hard as she tried. She never did catch up to him.
Sometimes she'd think she was so close
and then she'd feel his eyes on the back of her head.
And she'd turn around,
Searching once more.
Until, the eyes where no longer felt.
Just a whisper in the noise of a busy street.
Day after Day she would search tell she could no longer walk from exhaustion.
Followed by sleepless nights from Nightmares filled with dancing and glances.
She drove herself crazy I hear.
Trying out each face in the crowd.
Tasting each new tongue for a love never unrequited.
But it was never the same, and in turn like him, they soon left nothing but a haunting memory .
Sometimes, on days like today.
I'd watch her frail decaying spirit from afar.
She tried to hide it so well, but the evidence was there.
I almost fell sorry for her.
But in the end, she really never had a chance.
