Tick tick tick

by Miranda   May 15, 2009

Jumbled, jumbled, jumbled
Feeling so out of order
Contradicting thoughts and feelings
Am I spiraling?
Am I OK?
The clock answers solemnly,
Tick Tick Tick.

Muttering and pacing
Heartbeats racing
to the final destination
that is yet to be known.
Is it far away?
Or is it close to home?
The clock answers solemnly,
Tick Tick Tick.

Running in circles,
avoiding the crowd,
trying to escape,
the deafening shroud.
Can I be trusted?
My stomach fusses.
The clock answers solemnly,
Tick Tick Tick.

Is it time to leave
and begin anew?
Or do I stay,
and try to make it through?
The clock answers solemnly,
Tick Tick Tick.

Running out of time,
I am losing my mind.
Can anyone give me direction?
The clock answers solemnly,
Tick Tick Tick.

My brain is cloudy
with cigarette smoke.
My mind is racing,
and my heart just broke.
There is no time to waste,
if I will win this race.
The clock answers solemnly,
Tick Tick Tick.
