I Guarantee

by Countess of Monte Cristo   May 17, 2009

Trust me, I'll be fine without you.
And i never thought i'd be.
The fog used to block my view before.
But now i clearly see.

In the midst of silence, i discover i'm alone.
And i realize that all i got is me.
To know that you need no one else.
Truly makes you free.

I thought my pains would never heal.
And that i'd die before you would leave.
And i thought that this love was real.
And without you, i'd always grieve.

In the end, if you don't keep the side of your bargain.
Then there's little i can do.
Because love is a two way street.
And it's about me and you.

Who are you to criticize me?
When you barely do your job.
Do you think i'd always come running to you?
With endless tears and sobs?

Things changed you know,
And i'm stronger today.
I've wondered why the hell i'm like this.
And why loneliness is my way.

But i finally found myself.
And the hero i found in me.
Blind love won't block my sight anymore.
And that, i guarantee.
