Time is not Important

by Simply Trying   May 20, 2009

It seems no matter where you go
Life's never what it seems
We live to die
All in the name of a dream
We try our hardest
Just so we can fail
We're taught to hate
So that we can learn to love
We do what we can
Only to realize it's never enough
We build relationships
To watch ourselves destroy them
We betray ourselves
So we can embrace the people around us
We destroy our life
So no one else does
But when it's finally over
Our lives can finally begin

Wow. Beautifully written. You explored this idea that we have to die in order to say we have lived. It is deep and thoughtful.
