Brook

by Joe Eijyuu   May 21, 2009

Brook in May runs
Gentler than the month previous
So indeed does the breeze around us,
Brook plays waltz
And the dancers are the minnows
As a water-edge-lily skilfully conducts,

Brook in my heart is
Excited not because of May but your kiss
As smooth as the feather of the kingfishers,
This brook sings
And you dance on the bank till sun sinks
Then on a starlit trail we caress and kiss,

Two brooks merge
As our lips are met as kisses we exchange
And our blood turns deep red and surge,
Whispers of brooks
Are more prominent but so breathless
As if they are the moans of the butterflies.
