Frozen In Younger Memories

by Stephanie   May 24, 2009

Your face is etched into my mind; you're someone I can't forget. But our time is up, we had our run... but no, that love will never disappear.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Eyes upon eyes and skin upon skin,
Smiling amongst the younger memories.
We're stuck living in a worthwhile sin,
And time will do anything but freeze.

Confusion is etched within our faces,
And I'm constantly burning with doubt.
Boy, you brought me to my knees before;
I've forgotten what I'm broken about.

Everything we once were has faded,
Faded along the rough skyline tonight.
I yearn for the love to return to me,
Because I can't seem to return your fight.

Timing is the enemy delving inside of us;
Once. Then. Never Again. The Past.
Where's our future?

I lost it. You lost it. We lost ourselves.
And for once... I don't want it back.
