The Dead Takes Hold

by Good Enough   Jun 5, 2009

Do you hear the crys?
The screaming of the dead?
Do you feel the grip?
The fingertips on your throat?

Its like there taking over
Whispering all there secrets
Into your ear they cry
Their cold fingers run down
Your shaking body

Does the dead scream?
Do they have a touch?
I know there with me..

    "Do you hear the crys?

    The fingertips on your throat?"

    "crys" should be "cries".

Excellent imagery here, it gives off a very dark and disturbing picture to the reader.

    "Its like there taking over"

    "Its" should be "It's".

    "there" should be "they're".

    "Whispering all there secrets
    Into your ear they cry
    Their cold fingers run down
    Your shaking body"

    "there" should be "their".

This is such a captivating write that gives me the chills.

    "Does the dead scream?
    Do they have a touch?
    I know there with me.."

    "there" should be "they're"

Otherwise, flawless, I wouldn't change a thing. You have a talent for writing dark poems I think.

5/5 from me, take care and God Bless!
