Last Goodbyes

by StandStill   Jun 7, 2009

Radio plays another mindless song
that I'm relating to our mindless situation.
And the tick-tock clock
is bleeding out another time,
'cause we're three minutes away
from the worst day of my life.
How long to let loose?
How long til I forget you?

I've heard stories about fame,
and fame made up of stories.
I can't keep up,
no, I can't keep up
with the
b-b-beating of my heart.
So I wonder
if I rush it up
through my blood,
can I figure out the puzzle
the right way again?

How long 'til you let loose?
How long 'til there's no I love you?

The phone rings with another concerned victim,
wondering if the city's gonna flood.
'Cause morning's breaking
and all I've seen is rain.
The stars don't shine for us..
T-t-tell me can you taste this guilt?
And if not, can you drag me down the road,
'cause this's been another bad trip.

How 'til we let go?
How 'til I get to know?

Drip drip goes your patter tears,
and the thunder of my hurt.
We could drown this world
in the mindless song
we've written for
this mindless situation.

How long..
Oh, how long 'til it's easy.
