Nuances of Love

To love is not always to be in love

To be in love is to love

To love you is not always to be in love with you

To be in love with you is to love you

It makes perfect sense to say, I am in love with you,

therefore, I love you

Yet, to say I love you does not always mean I am in love with you

Knowing the nuances of love may lessen the pain of heartbreak but will not always keep the heart from breaking.
