I saw a girl die today.
just walking home.
hearing a gun shot.
someone getting blown.

ignored it.
everyone hovered over to see the body.
me walking past.
what good can it do.
probably didn't know the guy.
didnt want to hear a sad tune.

walked inside the house.
mama crying.
"what's wrong,mama?"
your daddys dying.

i run to the street where it was covered.
saw my daddy.
ran and hugged him.

i can't lose you now.
don't lose faith.
we`ll get through this.
and thank god everyday.

daddy don't leave me.
i need u now more than ever.
you tried to be the super hero i always use to see in my eyes.
please god its not his time.

he use to ask me as a little girl.
"hun,what do u see in your future?"
and now as i sit on the grass
near your gravestone.
i mumble the words.
"i saw you, always and forever with me"

who's gonna walk me down the isle?
who's gonna tell me its okay when i feel everything is going wrong?
who are my children gonna call gran pa?
who will i talk about my childhood with?
who will i call and ask who's winning on the sports channel.
who will ever say dad too?
