Pause and Read

The time we have on this earth.
Is a privilege, not a right.
Maybe it's time to flex our moral muscles.
Instead of our physical might.

Maybe its time for us to feel.
Maybe we should start thinking twice.
Our ignorance is too costly.
And we cannot afford its price.

We have all constructed fake walls.
Centered around religion, ideals and races.
Maybe its time to judge others by their hearts.
Instead of their mere faces.

Maybe its time we stop pointing fingers.
And using words like heretic, nigger and gay.
Who are we to judge others?
And then go home, and for salvation we pray?

God is all about mercy.
And understanding without fear.
How dare we use God to hate and kill?
And cause for others tears?

If you happen to read this.
Please concentrate on every word.
And i hope you won't consider it.
A preaching that is just absurd.

I know what I'm writing has all been said before.
And i know that by these words, you might not abide.
But as a human, i simply hope.
That these words, will shake your consciences inside.

* Let us let go of the hate that is eating our hearts. I speak as a human, not as a person from a particular gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, or what have you. I guess what i'm trying to say is, LIVE & LET LIVE.
