Sick Of This

by Audrey Miller   Jul 19, 2009

She looks in the mirror.
She looks like a mess.
Once again she's failed,
When she's tried to do her best.

She keeps making mistakes!

She loses feeling in her knees
And falls.
The insanity tries to creep
Below her walls.

But she's too strong for that.
She won't be caught unguarded.
Oh, no.
Her defenses are up.
And nobody's let in.
She's closed,
And so
Sick of this!

Her mind is so unsettled,
Her thoughts begin to race
She dares not look in the mirror,
She's scared to see her face.

She doesn't want to cry,
She'd crumble!
She doesn't want to know,
She's vulnerable!

Cause she's too strong for that.
She won't be caught unguarded.
Oh, no.
Her defenses are up.
And nobody's let in.
She's closed,
And so
Sick of this!

Of losing people she tried to love
Of not being good enough for herself
Of trying to make everything seem okay
Will she ever let go?
Will she ever let go?

She's not okay!

But she's too strong for that.
She won't be caught unguarded.
Oh, no.
Her defenses are up.
And nobody's let in.
She's closed,
And so
Sick of this!

Cause she's too strong for this
She won't be caught unguarded
Oh, no.
Her defenses are up.
And nobody's let in.
She's closed,
And so
Sick of this!
