Cursed

by Michaela   Jul 26, 2009

Cursed she was by the sinners who bore her
Broken innocence since the day she emerged
Never knowing what love looks like
Never wanting to let others in
Wanting a life
Needing love
Needing to know that someone is there
Someone who cares
Living a lie doesn't bring her friends
Mattering nothing to those who matter to her
Seeking a shoulder to cry on
But lost in her nightmares
Searching for the light
Only to find darkness
Living a life in a pit of the curse
She's sore from the memories she's been left
By those who are supposed to comfort her
Crawling by her nails she cries for the lord
To take her soul
She doesn't want to live this life anymore
She makes her way to the medicine cabinet
Reaching for a way out
Every pill she can possibly find
She swallows by the handful
Vicodin, Asprin, Tylenol, Xanex,
Cough syrup, Zoloft, Adderol, Lithium
You name it, she swallowed it
And when she did
She found her light
But she's not quite there
She grabs her hidden razor
And slits her wrists
Found hours later in her shower
Hanging by a belt
Covered in blood
Surrounded by bottles of death
