Shelter

by Lynn Anderson   Jul 27, 2009

Dance with me in the moonlight,
Under the stars.
For our love, is our life.

Everything around us stops.
Even the passing time.
So close together, our bodies lock.

We kiss,
As the night wind blows.
No moment will ever compare, to this.

Overlooking the crystal colors of the lake.
We breathe in the summer air.
Your arms around me, the shelter of a cape.

I don't want it to end.
This lust-full summer night.
I'll be dreaming next to you, all night to spend.

I have had a few moments like this poem suggests and you have brought them back to me very happily. That's what a good poem can do. nice write
