Dance

by Audrey Miller   Jul 29, 2009

She dances
Like she's the only one there.
She knows she's being watched,
Yet she doesn't care.

It's her time to shine,
As she moves in time
To her emotions
She makes beautiful.

The music is swelling,
There's no way of telling
What's going through her
Beautiful mind.

She's taken off her mask,
Showing her soul for all to see,
She doesn't care what they think
Cause up there she's free.

The lights are dimming,
They begin to clap,
She's got a smile on her face,
And wings on her back.
