Regrets

by Emily   Aug 4, 2009

And I'm sitting here thinking of you,
Nothing better to do.
At the risk of being walked in on
I think I'll try to wear a mask
Keep my broken heart in its cast.
I love you , why didn't it last?
Maybe because I stopped calling for no reason at all.
(I hate that about myself).
That whole time I had put up a wall.
I wish I would have loved with my whole heart,
I wish I would have known that you'd be leaving, in the start.
I'll cry tonight,
I'll have to put up a fight
You're not here to hold me tight.

I'll write again soon.
More letters you'll never get.
I'll still be waiting here don't fret.
I wish you were here and never left.
I wish there weren't so many things I regret.

Nice poem I can relate to what you're writing about. Correct me if I'm wrong but in line five I believe you meant to use "its" instead of "it's".
