True Love

by Cori   Aug 4, 2009

Looking at you now,
I can almost see how.
She is so much better for you,
maybe the way I could have been too.
But I've seen her smile when she hears your name,
and your love for her puts our's to shame.
So I'll leave you with this,
nothing but a kiss.
It stands as a goodbye
between you and I.
Our future was always out of sight,
so I accept I've lost the fight.
But I'd like you to know one last thing
before you give her that ring.
I love you now more than before
because you've found the happiness everyone looks for.
