We Are Not the Same

by Black Rose   Aug 5, 2009

Do you find beauty twisted in lies,
with painful sorrow can you sympathize?

What do you find within your reflection,
do you feel the scorn of rejection?

But even if your feelings are true,
do you honestly say I'm just like you?

We may be similar in some ways,
but in bliss your soul strays.

So how dare you compare yourself with me,
you who, in the abyss, could never see!

It seems that society has made you tame,
who would believe we are the same?!

So come back when you've lived my years,
when your heart has bled a thousand tears.

I guess for now I'll bid you farewell,
and walk back into my own personal hell.
