Reflection

by Black Rose   Aug 5, 2009

Beautiful drops of frozen rain,
you fall in response to pain.

Such a sorrowfully sad thing,
yet you are glistening?

How can you mask a smile,
has your owner gone senile?

What a wonderfully tragic show,
you make it so they can never know!

But you shall suffer the loneliness,
for you are a grand actress.

You can laugh and play with them,
but your heart you condemn?

Why must you hide your vast sorrow,
for there shall never be a bright tomorrow.

So I dare to say give up child,
less your soul be exiled.

Yet still you sit and smile at me,
through the tears that I see.

You know as well as I,
that we'd both rather die.

So we stand as one together,
and walk away in laughter.
