Final Stop

by Aubrey   Aug 7, 2009

THERES A STREET SO LONELY
NO SOUL CAN BEAR
THE WHISPERS OF THE DARK
THE LONELY CARES

A PLACE OF SOLITUDE
AND A PLACE OF PAIN
BROKEN HEARTED AVENUE
BY NO OTHER NAME

THE SOULS STEP FOOT
IN THEIR OWN DEMISE
NO MORTAL HIMSELF
CAN SHIELD FROM ITS EYES

THE PAIN THAT IT CUTS
A LINE THROUGH YOUR HEART
AS FOR YOUR LIFE
IT ALWAYS TAKES PART

IT RIPS YOU UP
FROM THE INSIDE OUT
LOVES UNREQUITED DANCE
FILLING YOU WITH DOUBT

CLOSING YOUR HANDS
YOU TAKE ANOTHER BREATH
AS YOU WAIT IN LINE
FOR YOUR BROKEN HEARTS DEATH

TEARS FALL FROM YOUR FACE
AS WORDS CATCH IN YOUR THROAT
HANDS BALLED INTO A FIST
REMEMBERING WHAT THEY WROTE

THE WORDS ON THE PAGE
STARE BACK AT YOU
YOU BLANKLY STARE AHEAD
NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO

THE CRACK IN THE MIDDLE
FORMS SO DEEP
AS YOU LAY IN BED
AT NIGHT YOU WEEP

THE BLOOD WILL FALL
AND LINES ARE THERE
TO PROVE TO THAT PERSON
THAT YOU REALLY DID CARE

THE AVENUE IS WAITING
TO PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE
AS DEPRESSION BEGINS
AND THE PROBLEMS YOU FACE

YOU LOOK AT THE WORDS
SPREAD ACROSS THE PAGE
REMEMBER THE MEMORIES
THAT YOU AND THEM MADE

THE MEMORIES ERASED
AS YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES
BEGIN TO PREPARE YOURSELF
FOR THE FINAL CRIES

AS YOU SEE THE AVENUE
THE FINAL STOP AHEAD
ONE MORE TEAR DROPS
AS WISH YOU WERE DEAD
