Down on My Knees

It's neither about love nor about care
It's about the little things we used to share
It's amazing how people through our life come and go in a blink
But never figured out how some you simply fall for and deeply sink
No matter how many feeling you try so hard to hide
Some things just meant to stay forever by your side
Memories and thoughts or whatever it's called
It's attached to your soul and remains on hold
And when it's the time to rest your head on your pillow to sleep
Your mind and heart struggle within pushing you down so deep
To places that you have tried so many times to forget
Remembering all the details since the moment we met
It hurts too much when you think of the things you've lost
But it's the memory about those we love that hurts the most
People keep telling you that you must be strong and how life goes on
Here I am down on my knees praying God for strength to keep holding on
