Love and Bliss

by Axel Cruz   Aug 16, 2009

The palpitation of my heart grew.
In the background, there were birds.
Singing a new song for me.
My first love song ever.

The butterflies in my stomach escalated.
I thought I was going to implode.
Implode with so much bliss and exhilaration.
Then scream out my yearning for you.

The first kiss,
The one that you take to the grave.
And with your kiss,
Not even death itself can take it away.

the soft gum drop feeling of your lips.
The taste of your mouth against mine
Your lucid smile,
That illuminates even the worst of days.

I have become an addict
I have withdrawals if I don't see you.
I quiver if I don't feel you.
I need to have an overdosed of you.

And the day I don't have you,
They will have to throw me into rehab,
Because nothing out there can cure me of this.
You are my addiction and drug of choice.
