Each day I watch you change
I watch you learn about life
I see the struggles you have
And I help with everything I have
I know your life may be tough
But I will be here every step of the way
To be there to lend a hand
Or wipe away the tears
And even to share a laugh
If anyone ever dares to hurt you
They'll have me to deal with
Since you came into my life
You gave me a reason to live
A reason to get up and smile
And for that
I thank you
For giving me the strength
