My sunset

by Heidi   Aug 25, 2009

And even though you're miles away
far from the hard grounds and blue skies
i can still feel the touch of your skin
as i listen to the softness of the butterflies
we will be together someday
but until then you can be my sunset
as i watch you sweep away the colors
of this beautiful perfection that's left
just tell me that we'll be alright
and again someday we will laugh
in the arms of each other
remembering the memories we had
i will be the softness of the wind
as i sway through the worlds perfections
meeting you at the skyline
as we teach this pain a lesson
i will sweep you off your feet again
with the breeze of love
as you slowly sweep away the colors
and the darkness slides in above [your sunset]

- my father is my sunset. i am the wind. together we will meet again at the gates of heaven (the skyline). but until then we will meet every day just to remind each other how much we miss & love each other. because the wind can be attached to whatever it wants, in this case, it's my father - the sunset.

Rest In Peace Dad, 8 months and 5 days without you... seems like eternity.
