We'll Just Glide, Starry Eyed

by Hallo A Lilium   Sep 6, 2009

I flew so high above the earth's surface,
soaring into the depths of the unknown.
Smiling brightly as I spread my wing's,
pretending that I could do absolutely anything.

Neon lights flashed throughout the skies,
I had tears of relief pouring from my eyes.
A beautiful place that I call my secret home,
stretching my limbs as I silently roam.

Dancing with other's like myself,
It's me and them and nobody else.
Rays of the moon lighten up our dance floor,
Escaping to a land where it's evermore.

We sing a lullaby for the people we love,
sending hope to the one's who are fragile like dove's.
Whispering lets fly together in this world of joy,
It's a place for men and women alike, little girl's and boys.

Take my hand and we'll take off on our own flight,
Into a world where in the darkness lay light.
Music hums all day and outside of heavens gate,
All you have to have is a little bit of faith.

Child of God,
take my hand..
We'll wander through fields of sunshine..
You'll see what we see, every day and every night.
