Perfect Is Not Meant For You.

by Brenda   Sep 12, 2009

I wasn't who you wanted me to be.
so, I tried to paint a good enough mask.
but, you could always see right through me.

you wanted perfection.
in every area; every crease of the body.
I wasn't even worth a second glance.
but I wanted to remain in your eyes.
now you have torn everything down.
my will to try; and my will to love.

I wasn't perfect;
but perfection won't stand by you.
and it won't balance out your own flaws.
perfection can't love you...

like I can; like I did.
and like I never will again.

    Society today goes off looks and perfection. Nobody is truly perfect but can love somebody in the perfect way they want to be loved, they just don't realise it. 5/5, Em

    I'm pretty surprised there aren't any comments on this...

    It's really good. We've all been with/wanted someone who wanted us to be someone we're not. It's not a pleasant experience.
