Ghost

by WitherBlisterBurnandPeel   Sep 15, 2009

I whisper into your ear
why won't you wake up?
It's the only thing I fear
besides all my phobias.

How I love your heart
but hate your mind.
Your sweetness turned tart
when you closed your eyes.

I stand in plain view
but you walk right past
I try to speak to you
with nothing left to say

I walk into your room
with you lying on the bed
I put on your perfume
as a bittersweet reminder

I yell into your ear
why won't you wake up?
It's something I still fear
besides all your phobias.
