A future We all wanted

by Marcus blake   Sep 15, 2009

Time is the one thing I have a little of and a abundance of
Everything I want to do
The things I've yet to try
I want to be able to do these things before I die
Sometimes as a witness to the worlds stupidity
I shiver
I gasp
The days repeat like a unending cycle
While people are plagued with there "problems"
Children are running the street causing them
We can only enlighten and encourage but we can not force or dictate
So much for free will...
I guess to me the world seems like a bad, bad dream
One moment it's fine then it's a nightmare
There's a saying that it has to get real bad before things get good
Even if that is true it's hard to accept who would
Common society is a vast memory that died a long time ago
Yeah the world is stupid and repeats
But the days pass by as it gets old
All I'm saying is when is the complexity gonna support the property
If life is hard and complex why can't I see it
I believe it has to be
Not that I believe everything told to me
FREEDOM PEACE EQUALITY
By now I figured we would have this
By now I'd thought we'd rise past the
Past that we can't change
and move toward a future that we've fashioned and made
Our time has come, GOT DAMN they'll have to kill us
Cause our soul is on fire like the sun
Can't be extinguish or put out
and I block you out with my mighty light
Watch me, Watch as I fight
