Reality through different eyes

by guy named Guy   Oct 7, 2009

When everything seems to be at its worst moments
the slightest flick of a wrist can change ones perspective
of every small detail be it color, smell, appearance
or by its own action toward another
if be it by primal instinct or sudden desire
it flourishes will every simple lie it whispers past its tongue
turning one from each other
like a plague across the lands and oceans
seeping deep within our souls
burning into our thoughts seeding its plot
grasping our every nerve holding it tightly
squeezing its last ounce of hope
till only an empty shell remains
as time begins to nastily quicken
the awe struck vision seen before
twisted as it becomes
hastily warping the near essence of reality
do we truly understand
this cause we so strongly follow
which remains hollow stripped of its bearings
it falters in our already decaying minds
its own meaning is forgotten by those who teach it
only to be re-written to uphold the carnage
giving pleasure to those who abide by it
leaving the innocent left to their dooms
so i ask this of you
be you sit on this fence that is our realm
or choose between sides be it heaven or hell..
