So you came back,
And you stayed for a while
You played with our hearts
You faked your smile

And as time went by
She grew so fast
She learned to call you Daddy
And she took her first steps

You promised you'd be there
You said you loved us so much
We used to be so happy
Just the three of us

But in the back of my mind
I knew deep inside
The day would come again
When you'd walk out of our life.

Now here we are again
And its just her and I
The few times when she says Daddy
Still brings tears to my eyes

When she's not even two.

where Daddy is
And why he takes care
Of someone else's kid

That when things were the worst
He ran out of our life

At his daughter and wife

But next time she sees him

And Serenity doesn't deserve
