Life

by Fire Catches   Oct 20, 2009

Do you feel the colors shifting through your fingers
Do you see it changing through the air and start to linger
Its hanging off your lip and dancing around your tongue
It keeps you so alive, forever feeling young

But it starts to change through the melancholy delight
The darkness is sucking it in, taking away all its light
Once what it was, is now destroyed virtue
Once what you was, is no longer you

Now pain start to become insensible reality
No longer can you stand, no longer do you have vitality
Its taking your being away, unaware you can fight
It gives you little showing, but you can make things right

It may seem your standing in that dark corner alone
Shoved into the wall, beaten, tortured, and thrown
You may feel battered and bruised from head to toe
But hold my hand and we'll fight and defeat our foe

Cause this thing they say isn't all what has been said
Its only plotting plans with a very fine thread
We can stop our pain, we can stop the strife
Because its not a big monster, its only life!
