No Excuse For Abuse (Part 2)

But it seemed like forever, and after that I just gave up.
I told him a lie, saying that I deserved everything.
As he got dressed, I grabbed my shirt and ran.
He ran after me, pushing me to the floor.
I got up with blood on my face.
He grabbed my leg and pulled me down.
I kicked him in the stomach and ran away.
Glad to see my friend, I ran to him.
He held me close, and said I was safe.
This is now a mere memory, deep behind my mind.
Now my dear friend is my boyfriend.
He saved me from that wretched boy, and I'm grateful for that.
We are happy together & never have had a single fight.
He has not hurt me once, emotionally or physically.
He saved me from my worst nightmare, & made my dreams come true.
Months after that tradgic event, I have been happier than ever.
Me and Oscar are a good couple.
Though we're not perfect, in my eyes he is.
I am in good hands & will forever be safe.
My dear Oscar, I love you! Now & forever, 'til the day that I die.
