My Apocalypse To This Genesis

by MaAr   Oct 29, 2009

As she walked away
My body aged, my hair got gray
I could no longer walk her way
So I just stood there and watched her walk away

As she walked away
She said "don't break her heart, don't do a dumb mistake
I said "you're doing the same, telling him things that are all fake"
So I stood there and watched her walk away

As she walked away
I felt like wrapping my arms around her and asking her to stay
But instead I froze and studdered, not knowing what to say
So I just stood there and watched her walk away

As she walked away
I realized, I loved her more today
But all my dumb mistakes, I had to sadly pay
So I just stood there and watched her walk away

As she walked away
Her eyes watered, lip trembled, and asked me to behave
I just held back my tears, not knowing what to say
So I just stood there and watched her walk away

As she walked away
She waved, said "I love you" and turned the other way
I smiled, as a tear fell, not knowing what to say
So I just stood there and watched her walk away

As she walked away
I felt so weak, so incapable and realized what it is
I put an Apocalypse to this Genesis and didn't go her way
So I just stood there and watched her walk away

As she walked away
She took my heart, she took my soul, and threw it all away
And now today, I live heartless
Destroying people in my way
Today and everyday I'll live life without love until lifeless I lay
Why?
Cause I just stood there and watched her walk away

*For those who don't fully understand the title "My Apocalypse to this Genesis" it means "My Ending to this Beginning" in relation to the Holy Bible*
