Winter World

by Darling   Nov 8, 2009

In this winter world,
Sits one little girl.
Tears on her lips,
As her heart continues to rip.

Now she's all alone,
In a river dry as bone.
All out of tears,
Sitting on that pier.

Starring into space,
Her heart, slowing pace.
Soon she starts to fade,
On that pier she lays.

As she ebbs away,
The night turns to day.
The sun begins to rise,
As she closes her eyes.

She's no longer crying,
Now she's quietly dying
Her breathing comes to a slow,
As she begins to go.

They found her on that pier,
Holding what she thought dear.
Prized in her now cold hands,
The photo from her stand.
