Feelings on paper

by Max Krakers   Nov 11, 2009

Sound alone are empty,
Carrying but cold.
Words alone have meaning,
But feeling they can't hold.

Only when drawn together,
Can feelings live inside.
Yet words are always silent,
And sounds one can not write.

So it falls upon the reader,
To add feelings to the words.
You will be the shepherd,
And look upon these herds.

Dancing in silence,
On shores white as snow.
For words can not utter,
The feelings they know.

Only when read,
And whispered out loud.
Or lovingly spoken,
Their feelings will sound.
