Love and Lies

Love and lies,
Hugs and sighs.
Smiles and tears,
Kisses and Fears.

Together these make up,
The relatioships of my past.
I wish I could say that
I had realized it fast.

Young girls are naive,
Easy to fool.
I was no exception,
More like the rule.

They lied, I ignored it.
They loved me, correct?
All the lies added up,
I was a wreck.

Grow stronger, no feeling,
Some say I grew cold.
They ask if to the devil
My heart was sold.

Well yes and then no
Was the answer I gave.
Untill one made me believe,
That I was good enough to save.
