Storm

by Kuro   Nov 19, 2009

Thunder, flash, lightning clash
Through this storm I hope to last
I don't think it will pass very fast
And then comes the rain
Black clouds tame the sun
The birds whose song was sung in the sun
All run I fear of what will come

As I stand, awaiting the storm head on
I welcome the change in climate
The shade provides relief from my sun burned shoulders
The wind blows my hair playfully yet menacingly
A drop, two, five
Here comes the rain

Surrounded by the gloomy clouds
The feeling of relief is undeniable.
Everyone else leaves to be with their friends
But I know my place, rain pours on my smiling face
And in this moment, there is peace within the storm in my Head, while their storm gives me peace, my peace is their storm.

Enjoy it while it lasts,
I'll be a minority tomorrow
Back to my daily sorrow.
Relief is allowed only once per week

~~~Vent~~~
    This poem seems quite menacing... please explain it to me.
    For a vent it's pretty good. Actually really good. The way you worded it, is great. It could use some work, but like a pint.
    The words you used, expressed your emotion well.
    My favorite line is
    "Back to my daily sorrow"
    Great Job.
