She Was Already Gone

by Crippled Wing   Nov 26, 2009

She was just like you and me
At least of what you could see.
But in the dark was a different side
A battle she alone was able to hide.

She lost that battle long ago.
But she didn't let that show.
She was only a body with no soul
Her eyes where empty like pieces of coal

Finely the day had came
To end her internal shame
A handful of pills and cuts covering her wrists
She slowly blacks out as her body twists

A few hours went by before anyone found her
She slightly opened her eyes to only a blur
She was too far gone to be saved
Now all that's left of her is a stone engraved.

No one understood.
I'm very doubtful that they even could.
You see they didn't even know
All the emotional pain she would undergo

It was amazing she had made it this long
Because she was already gone.
