Braving The Elements

by Chris   Nov 27, 2009

The thunder and lightning conquer the sky
As fire and water divide the land together
As the wind rules everyone and everything
Except for one last person on this planet

They try to decide who dies and who lives
Everyone else has given up on life
And as their reward they lose their lives
But I never lose my will to live

I continue to fight on and on in this hell
Never losing faith in what I fight for
As the elements try to finish me off
But what I have they can never kill

Thunder pounds in the sky like a drum
It's volume only climbing to new heights
As lightning flashes through the clouds
Trying to give me a truly shocking experience

But I continue to beat them and survive
I continue to hold true to my last hope
That you are still alive on this planet
That someday I shall find you

Water washes over most of the coasts
Drowning everything that it encounters
And washing away that doesn'tt drown
And taking the land to its empty grave

But I continue to beat it and survive
I continue to hold true to my last hope
That you are still alive on this planet
That someday I shall find you

Fire sweeps across what remains
Burning everything in its path to ash
Bring with it a slow and painful death
To those that do not flee fast enough

But I continue to beat it and survive
I continue to hold true to my last hope
That you are still alive on this planet
That someday I shall find you

The wind roars and howls as it flies
Ruling thunder, lightning, water, and fire
Blowing away those who dare to challenge it
And smashing those it carries

But I continue to beat it and survive
I continue to hold true to my last hope
That you are still alive on this planet
That someday I shall find you
