Nik, this is so sad. Many things happen in our lives that we don't understand, maybe never will and there are some things we can never change. The most important thing for you to remember, you are young and it won't always be this way.

    We are human...
or at least that's what I was told.
Honestly I don't feel like the rest.
Sure I have a beating heart
    if that's what you want
to call the pieces of meat
    in my hand.

-- That was my favorite part, because in a weird way, I can relate. Sometimes I really don't feel human. Sometimes I feel like a monster, but this was a great poem, just like the rest of yours. I think all of your poems have a uniqueness to them, which is why I like them. :]

    Keep writing.

The flow of this poem was a bit off. but it was emotional and i feel that tha is way more important than flow or form or rhyme scheme

and i thik the problem isnt in being human, but in trying to not be. religeon, society, people you know and ones you have never met. and even people who you love and love you, all try to fit you into a card board cutout of how they feel you should be. and when something in you rebels and you dont live upto their image of you ,they all blame you. it is never enough to simply be human, to be yourself. we are always expected to be something else, we even expect this of ourselves

^^--my favorite part. These few lines (one sentence) showed the most emotion.

I would agree with Rocky about the flow being just a tad off. But the voice of a troubled, tired, longing Human was heard. And that is what really makes this poem a great one.

    Amazing write Nik :)
