Indescribable

by Chelsey   Jan 3, 2010

I can't say I've ever believed in love at first sight
Nope, not once, until that very night
Goodness, what was it that took my breath away?
How did your very look leave me with nothing to say?

What is this in my stomach? Is this what they call butterflies?
How did this happen from simply looking in your eyes?

I can't say I've ever gone weak in the knees
Nope, not once, until you smiled at me
Goodness, what was it that knocked me off my feet?
How did your presence push me back on my seat?

There's a hole in my hearts pathway that I need someone to repave
So I know it's more than just lust, that's not all that I crave

I can't say I've ever believed in magic in any way
Nope, not once, until you asked me if you could stay
Goodness, what is this? Is this what they call sparks?
How is it you reveal light when I've been so far lost in the dark?

Far from lust, it's more than attraction; I know it's not a game
Indescribable, these feelings, they're too hard to explain

First off, your I have to agree with Autumn Breeze on that the title of this poem was perfect. What I really loved most about this write is that you didn't use the standard four line stanza throughout; but instead added two-liners. You also used a lot of questions which made me feel as if I as the reader was actually going through the motions of love. Makes me wonder eh.
Overall, beautifully written. This most definately deserves a 5/5.
