A Bad Father

by Timothy   Jan 3, 2010

I have denied long months that I sent you away,
But after a lot of time to think, I just don't know what to say;
I'm not as young as I used to be,
And not as secure in my paterfamilias decree,
It's something I have no idea how to convey.

A daughter that is fifteen is hard enough as it is,
But I was frustrated on our Sunday visits;
A bit of me was glad when you stopped coming,
And the good father was definitely succumbing,
Perhaps this bad father is exactly as everyone says.
