Nostalgia Isn't Futile

by reJoyce   Jan 7, 2010

The hourglass is turned over
And time pours down to bury with sand
Waves of sand pour in as outdated tears finally falls
Past, present, future flowing in violent disarray against the glass wall
A catastrophe of elements against limited space...

[Chorus:]
Time runs fast,
But not as fast as always
Love dries out,
But only to be rinsed
By memories in time.

Tomorrow is so last year
And yesterday is yet to return
Back to the tranquil meadow of peace
Where the bridge over still water
Only leads from green to greener pastures

[Chorus]

[Bridge buildup:] And however redundant,
My nostalgic desires for the past
Will bring future hopes into the present

[Chorus]
