Nora

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 26, 2010

Pumpkin carvings intrigue me
as I sit crossed upon daring hay stacks
like a free-spirited wild child
that sips auburn rain while it hums.

I only wish to blend into apple trees
pregnant with round virtuous fruit
until the day they let go of their hold
and new creations curiously tumble down.

My juvenile nose is playfully tickled
by a stream of luscious cider leaves
I bathe myself amid tomorrow's promise
where surely I will fall in your melody.

I am Autumn's betrothed.

That was beautifully written. Your choice of words were brilliant, and was as sweet as honey! 5/5
