Brother, you hurt me

by Sofie   Jan 27, 2010

This isn't a poem, it's an experience that will be stuck in my mind forever.

I thought it would be another great day at work
In the beginning, it was
But then I made one tiny mistake
That's when you said it
Those words..they pierced through my heart like poisoned spears
I didn't know what to say, I just froze up
After some second I walked up to the toilet, locked the doors and sat down in the corner
I started crying, and I begged for the words not to be true
I don't know how you felt when you said it
But I felt betrayed, hurt... scared
I love you, brother.
But you hurt me, like no one have ever done before
And I don't know why it hurt so much, but it did

(You readers probably don't know what I mean about just some words that can hurt someone this hard, but the fact that I looked into his eyes, I knew that he ment it.
The words he said was: "I can understand how my sister can be gay, it's disgusting".
For 3 years I've been trying to get accepted by my family with me being gay.
My family is christians, and VERY superstitious,
I don't know if i can hold on any longer, it hurts to much).
