Crossroad

by ilikepurple222   Jan 31, 2010

Sitting at a crossroad,
waiting for the light to change.
Speeding just to make the time pass.

She was tired of being stuck inside a box,
labeled and without a name.
She knew what she wanted,
but no one would let her have it.

A hundred lines and a million more lies,
reassurances all washed down the drain.
Insecure and unsure,
were things she didn't want to be anymore.

People say that change is good,
but what they didn't tell you
is to be careful what you're asking for.
