Too Full

by Raychil   Feb 5, 2010

I poured my water into your cup
It blended with the wine
Not able to be separated
Chemically combined

You asked for more water
Begged me to cleanse your cup
And before I knew what happened
Water had filled it up

You wanted more and more
Ran on it like fuel
Every day you'd plead and nag
But your cup was just too full

I poured until it overflowed
Until I had run out
And when I ran dry, you said "Good-bye"
Because it was water you cared about.

That was wonderfully put. I thought your message was very clear, and relatable. Great write, best poem I've read in a while, 5/5!

I don't understand that last verse-the rest was interesting.
