Discovery Awaits

by Poet on the Piano   Feb 7, 2010

The dawn blinked and we breathed frothy ocean waves
whirling soundly like mature blossoms that spray summer mist.

I lay flat across ivory sand, my hand comfortably grasped
as a silent song echoes 'neath underwater castles.

You throw your ticklish mane
nuzzling me cozily like a morning embrace
you announce we've been found.

Years of hopeless searching has ended
here I am, alive inside an unbroken covenant
I see no boundaries, the land is ours.

I jump onto your back with ready spirit
while enticed mermaids splash about like children
we only laugh as we ride towards the sun.
